A Community In Song

The Lexington Singers and the Lexington Singers Children’s Choir will present a free concert as part of the First United Methodist Church “Voices Concert Series” to celebrate diversity, harmony, and YOU the community, as we raise our voices in song to thank you and to raise money and awareness for child food insecurity.

THIS IS A FREE CONCERT! FOOD AND CASH DONATIONS ARE ACCEPTED!

Donations will be accepted to benefit FUMC Backpack program to benefit food-insecure children.  Donations will be accepted at the door.

The following individual-sized, shelf-stable items are welcomed donations included in the backpacks: one microwaveable pasta meal (no dry Mac n cheese), one fruit cup, one cereal cup, and one milk. In addition to that, the program provides 3-5 of the following items: beanie weenies, Vienna sausages, Tuna lunch packs, granola or cereal bars, pudding, Jif-to-Go packs.

  • Individual-sized cereal cups
  • Shelf-stable fruit or apple sauce cups

  • Granola or Cereal Bars and Pop-tarts
  • Shelf-stable pudding cups
  • Jif-to-Go packs
  • Plastic jars of peanut butter (smaller size)
  • Peanut Butter or Cheese Crackers
  • Raisins, Nuts, or Trail mix packs.

Cash or Check donations and food items will be accepted to support the First United Methodist Backpack Ministry. Please make all checks payable to The Lexington Singers with FUMC Backpack Ministry in the memo line.
