Lend me your ears and I'll sing you a song
And I'll try not to sing out of key.

(The Beatles: A Little Help From My Friends)
Actually we'll sing you a lot of songs.
And since it's the day before Valentine's, almost all will be about love. (But none, we promise, out of key).
Hopefully you'll sing them all the way home from the Norton Center for the Arts in Danville.
We're reaching for the stars with a dazzling new choral-orchestral reinterpretation of The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, hailed by
Rolling Stone as "the most important rock and roll album ever made, by the greatest rock and roll group of all time." (Can't you just hear "A Day in the Life"
performed by 180 voices? It's enough to give you the chills.)
Plus favorite love songs old and new that'll have you going yeah, yeah, yeah! We predict a sellout; so, lovely audience, please book early.

complex & challenging
Hector Berlioz, Requiem
with the University of Kentucky Choirs and Symphony Orchestra
It's not a work for the faint of heart.
We know.
It's a breathtakingly complex score that demands a massive orchestra and a seasoned, fearless chorus.
Even the world's most accomplished choirs hesitate to take it on. Little wonder it's never been performed in Kentucky before.
We're going go change that. In April 2010, we'll join forces with the celebrated UK Choirs and UK Symphony Orchestra and tackle
this rarely-performed masterpiece. Please do join us as we make a little bit of history.
It may be your only chance to catch it around here.
And we're going to need all the support we can get.
